Chicken Curry in a Remoska

Standard Grand
Chicken thighs, boneless, skinless 6 10
Oil 1 tbsp 2 tbsp
Butter 25 gm 40 gm
Onions, finely chopped 2 3
Garlic cloves, crushed 4 6
Chilli, red, sliced, de-seeded 1 1-2
Cumin 1 tsp 1½ tsp
Cardamon seeds, crushed 3 tsp 5 tsp
Turmeric, ground 2 tsp 3 tsp
Garam masala 2 tsp 3 tsp
Ginger, fresh, grated 1 tsp 2 tsp
Flour 1 tbsp 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp 1½ tsp
Bay leaves, crushed 2 3
Stock, chicken 200 ml 300 ml
Chickpeas, tin (425 gm) 1 1


Cut each thigh into 4 pieces. Heat the oil in a frying pan and brown the chicken pieces. Remove from the pan and put into the Remoska

Add the butter to the pan and when hot, add the onions, garlic and chilli

Cook until just beginning to colour, then add spices, flour and salt

Cook for 1 minute. Add the bay leaves and stock. Stir in the chickpeas

Pour the mixture into the Remoska to cover the chicken

Cook for approximately 35-45 minutes until the chicken is tender
