Wake up to the beckoning call of the Indian Ocean almost right on your doorstep at Happy Wanderers – a private resort situated on 500 metres of pristine beach, 65 km south of Durban

The 86 camp sites are nestled under a canopy of beautiful, indigenous Milkwood trees. Sites are on grass, sand or concrete, with options from well-shaded to partially shaded and full sun.

Campsites have electricity and water, as well as braai facilities.

A maximum of two small dogs per party are allowed in caravan or camping sites, and only out of season. Dogs must be on leashes. No pets permitted in apartments at all.

Looking for a different style of accommodation? Happy Wanderers also offers self-catering apartments and private log cabins, all just metres away from the unspoilt beach.

The resort has a fully-licensed restaurant-with-a-view and ladies’ bar (The “Resu-” Wrecked Heron), which offers live music on Saturday evenings, five screens for sports viewing and has a lovely festive atmosphere.

There is a shop on site for your convenience.

There are weekend and holiday entertainment programmes for the family, as well as a playground, swimming pools, games room and supervised indoor play area for the little ones.

The beach offers excellent rock and surf fishing.

In recent years Happy Wanderers have undergone major refurbishments, plus they have a borehole and generator that runs during peak times.
