Every stand is connected to 220V mains power, and water points are conveniently close to sites, making setup a breeze whether you’re rolling in with a caravan, pitching a tent, or parking the motorhome.

The resort welcomes caravans, motorhomes, and tents alike, so whatever your setup, you’ll find a comfortable spot to call home for a few days — or longer. A large, open grassed area along the lagoon’s edge gives campers plenty of room to breathe, relax, and let the kids run free.

Ablution facilities are well-maintained with hot and cold water, and the park also offers a scullery and laundry facilities for longer stays. The resort is security fenced or patrolled, so you can settle in and unwind with peace of mind.

Note that no animals are permitted in the chalets, and check-out is by 10am unless prior arrangements have been made. Getting There

Umtentweni Caravan Resort is located just 4 km north of Port Shepstone on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. From the N2 toll road, take the Umtentweni Toll Plaza off-ramp towards Port Shepstone North. Head east for 3.7 km to the traffic lights, then take the slip road left onto the old N2 South Coast Road (R102) towards Durban. After 700 metres, turn left at the first intersection (look for the Caltex Service Station) — the resort entrance is about 120 metres ahead. Follow the signs and you’re home.
