Wawielpark is situated on the banks of the Vaal River on the Free State side, 30km from Klerksdorp and 45km from Potchefstroom. It’s absolutely wonderful to spend time next to the river, whether you’re fishing, canoeing, using the paddle boats, or just relaxing, visiting with friends in the fresh air with the smell of “braaivleis” wafting by. Wawielpark is a paradise for children, with an Indoor heated pool, 4 Cold water pools, Wave pool, 2 Free water slides, Trampoline’s, Play Parks etc. The Supertube is an absolute winner with young and old.
We have Putt-Putt, and Paddle-cars. Day Visitors are very welcome, we also cater for Groups (Bookings Essential) We have a large variety of top quality accommodation available, for business men, families, singles, and honeymooners. We have great camping facilities, with 3 ablution blocks. Our owners, Hansie and Annetjie Muller, and son Eddie, have done everything possible to make Wawielpark the “Best” there is. If you come here once, you will keep coming back. The Lions, Tigers, Eland, Springbuck, Emu’s, Birds and Rabbits in our Mini Zoo, is a great attraction, and we have trips to the Game Farm to see Giraffe, Camels, Wildebeest, Zebra, Kudu, and various other wildlife. You can watch sports, at the Sportsmans Bar, while having drinks, meals, snacks etc.
The Deli/Cafeteria supplies all basic necessities, including Top Quality meat and Take Aways. If you need to “get away from it all” do yourself a favour and come to Wawielpark!
