Western Cape West Coast, Citrusdal: The Baths

1840
VIEWS

Located only two hours drive from Cape Town and established in 1739, The Baths is all about rest and relaxation in the heart of nature. Surrounded by mountains on an old citrus farm in the Olifants River Valley, this resort offers old traditional charm in a beautiful, rural setting.

Unwind in the private, natural hot spring baths; enjoy the wild flower extravaganza during springtime or choose from an à la carte menu at McGregors’ restaurant. The resort is never overcrowded, and it is important to book in advance. There is a shop and licensed restaurant on site.

In The Area
Play a game of tennis and pool at the resort. Enjoy the attractions of the Cederberg area, including the wildflowers. Play a round of golf at Citrusdal, on the banks of the Olifants River. Plan a day trip with the family to Lamberts Bay, only an hour away. Take time to explore Clanwilliam’s Rooibos tea factory. Sit back and relax in the 43º C mineral spring pool at the resort

Directions
From Cape Town, drive 185 km northwards on the N7. Turn right into the Citrusdal turn-off, then right again after 1 km. Drive 16 km to the resort. The road is well sign posted and tarred.
