Breede River Valley, Rawsonville: Slanghoek Mountain Resort

Nestled in the magnificent Slanghoek Valley on the slopes of the Badsberg conservancy you will find the Slanghoek Mountain Resort. To accommodate you, we have self-catering chalets and a tented camp as well as camping with your own tent or caravan. We also offer three luxury Log Cabins situated on a secluded dam. Chalets are situated under oak trees and have inside braais as well as selected DSTV channels. The Safari-tents with en-suite bathrooms is perfect for first time campers or for those not wanting to pitch a tent and packing everything.

We have 17 campsites surrounded by vineyards, each with its own private ablution facilities and electricity and water points. Our secluded Log Cabins with beautiful views are ideal for nature lovers seeking some peace and quiet. Cabins are gas and solar powered and we recommend vehicles with a high ground clearance to reach these cabins. It is a haven for those who can appreciate spectacular views and the natural beauty of the indigenous fynbos.

We offer adventure filled walks and mountain bike trails. The walk to our look-out point is on one of the higher hills. Almost the entire Slanghoek valley can be viewed from the top. For more experienced hikers we also have a walk to a waterfall. The resort also has a unique putt-putt course situated on a hill with spectacular views of the valley. This valley can be visited throughout the year as each season reveals its own secret beauty.
