Positioned on the banks of the Bulshoek Dam along the Olifants River and surrounded by the scenic Ceder Mountains, Rondeberg Resort provides a beautiful holiday destination. Rondeberg is also the ideal stopover, as it is conveniently situated on the N7 Cape Town-Namibia route. Facilities range from general camping to luxury private camping, stone cottage camping and five luxury chalets (all fully air-conditioned). Bird-watchers will be treated to over 135 documented species near the dam (also a favourite for fishing and watersports), or plan a day trip to Bird Island, around 80 km away.
There are great hiking opportunities, with some newly discovered Bushman paintings in Rondeberg’s own private Nature Reserve, a popular drawcard in the surrounding hills. Enjoy day trips that take in the splendour of the Namaqualand, especially during wild flower season. There is a convenience store, coin-operated laundry and conference facilities, while the kids will enjoy the pool table, trampoline, swings and a tuck shop. All camping sites are serviced with electrical points and are fully lawned.
When travelling northwards on the N7, the resort is 22 km past Clanwilliam, with a well-appointed entrance.
