Resort Review: Miller’s Point, Cape Town

Pictured overlooking the Cape Peninsula’s warm False Bay is the Millers Point Caravan Park, once the most popular choice of caravan parks among caravanners and caravan-club-members alike! That is, until the old Division Council which owned and managed this resort allowed park homes in, and to be permanently sited, in an effort to increase revenues.

To Caravan Club members, this restriction meant that the remaining stands were too few to accommodate the large numbers of club members who attended weekend rallies there, and Millers Point fell off the annual rally fixture list.

Situated half way between Simon’s Town and Cape Point in the Western Cape, Millers Point is once again open for business, albeit for the lucky few – and the great news is that the park homes have long gone! We say ‘lucky few’ because there are only 16 stands, and one ablution block.
