Ingredients
Standard Remoska Grand Remoska
125g butter 185g butter
175g sugar, light muscovado 250g sugar, light muscovado
450g plums, halved, stoned 675g plums, halved, stoned
2 tsp cinnamon 3 tsp cinnamon
175g flour, plain 250g flour, plain
2.5 cm ginger piece, grated 4 cm ginger piece, grated
55g walnuts, finely chopped 75g walnuts, finely chopped
Method:
Melt half butter and half the sugar in a pan over a low heat, stirring. Add the plums and cinnamon, cover and cook gently for 5 minutes.
Put flour into a bowl and rub in the remaining butter. Stir in the remaining sugar and the walnuts.
Tip the plum mixture into the Remoska and sprinkle the crumble evenly over the top, to completely cover the plums. Cook for approx 10 – 15 minutes until the crumble is golden. Serve hot with custard or cream.
