The innovative DraaiBraai obviates all these, with a screw-on adjustable grid that moves up when turned clockwise and down when turned anticlockwise – the fire is built around DraaiBraai, with the grid 25cm high braaing can start as soon as coals form, this allows cooking to start immediately, without interruption of repositioning the grid, the heat is perfectly controlled by turning the grid anticlockwise bringing it nearer the coals as they dissipate, an ingenious design, takes the schlep out of braaing.
Particularly compatible with kettle-braais like Weber’s, the fixed grid restricts braaing time and one has to wait for the coals to be ready (almost dead) before cooking can start , removing the grid and placing the DraaiBraai in the kettle converts it into a handy braai as well as a kettle.
