Bramboracka soup is a traditional Czech soup and is derived from a variety of root vegetables, mushrooms and of course potato. Don’t let the idea of veges and potatoes deter you because your tastebuds are going to be tantalised and caressed with fantastic flavours of marjoram, celery, garlic, chives, herbs and various other delights. The name Bramboracka might be a mouthful to say, but it certainly is a delicious mouthful to eat. Pull out your Remoska Standard or Grand cooker and add your particular twist to this famous Czech soup. Cheque please!

Potatoes, peeled and diced | 350g | 700g |

Parsley, or chives, fresh, chopped | 1 tbsp | 2 tbsp |
Method
Put the butter, onion, celery, carrots, mushrooms, garlic and caraway seeds into the Remoska and cook for 25 minutes. Add the stock, potatoes and marjoram and cook for approx 40 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked. Take out one third of the soup and liquidise with the raw clove of garlic. Return to the rest of the soup, stir and check the seasoning. Sprinkle with parsley or chives and serve.
