Pine Lodge is set amongst beautiful coastal vegetation, adjacent to the pristine Cape Recife Nature Reserve. Although wonderfully remote, it’s only a five- to 10-minute drive from Port Elizabeth’s great shops, malls, restaurants and superb beaches. The resort offers excellent facilities and well-kept grounds. Wedding functions can be hosted at the resort, and there are also self-catering log cabin chalets for guests to stay in. Tuckshop available. No pets allowed.
In The Area
Excellent on-site fishing available. Keen golfers can play 18 holes on the well-known Humewood course close by. A beach walk will reveal historical landmarks, including the Algoa Bay wreck and Cape Recife Lighthouse. Spend the day exploring the Boardwalk, Bayworld, Addo Elephant Park as well as other great Port Elizabeth attractions. There are excellent scuba-diving opportunities in Algoa Bay. Go for a night out at the nearby Boardwalk Casino or take a donkey cart ride to the lighthouse at Cape Recife.
For Children The Pirate’s Cove Play Park with on-site puttputt, jungle gym and giant chess is a real hit with the kids.
Directions On the N2 into PE, take the Settlers Way / Summerstrand off-ramp and follow Marine Drive. Pass Summerstrand and the Humewood Golf Club. Look out for the resort signs, and turn left to the resort.
