TO Strand beach resort is situated in the small, picturesque town of Leisure Bay on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.

The three-star graded resort, only 26km south of Margate and 10km north of the Wild Coast Sun, borders a clean and safe semi-private beach with shark nets.

The resort forms part of a greater conservation area and many types of birds and small wildlife can be spotted on the short walking routes through our subtropical forest.

Overlooking the warm tranquil Indian Ocean and with over a kilometer of beachfront, Scottburgh offers stunning sea views, with fantastic rock and tidal pools on your doorstep – all just a 30-minute drive south of Durban.

Scottburgh Caravan Park is “The one on the Beach”, and they have it all: water slides, a tidal pool, safe swimming and surfing, fishing, scuba diving, mini golf, restaurants and shops are all within walking distance of the resort.

Fresh water swimming pools have also been installed recently.

Scottburgh has security fencing and the resort is patrolled by 24-hour security.

Spectacularly positioned on the banks of the Kwelera River near Chintsa, Areena Riverside Resort offers caravan and camping sites, furnished chalets, a clubhouse and conference venue.

Enjoy beautiful views of the river, excellent bird- and game-watching opportunities right in front of your site, as well as game drives.

Most of the generously-sized sites are well-grassed and shady; non-grassed sites have cement slabs for a level and stable base. All sites have electricity and a braai stand with a grid.
