Heavenly bread rolls


Soft warm bread rolls smothered in butter are the perfect accompaniment for a traditional braai and to enjoy with a variety of meals. Now you can make you very own bread rolls, much to the delight of your family and guests. This is where your Remoska Grand or Standard oven makes its entrance, as it is the perfect culinary accessory and a great energy saver.

Bread rolls – Remoska Grand or Standard


250 grams bread flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon quick dried yeast

50 grams margarine or butter


Mix the butter, sugar and salt. Add the egg, and flour and make up to total of 145 grams with lukewarm water. Mix and knead by hand until smooth and stretchy, (or mix and knead in a bread maker). Cover with clingfilm and leave to rise in a warm place until at least doubled in size. Knead again for a couple of minutes, then separate into 6 pieces of approximately 75 grams each. Form into balls and place on bottom of Remoska with a little flour sprinkled onto the base first. Cover with clingfilm and leave until doubled in size. Remove clingfilm and cook for 20 minutes, then remove and place on the cooling rack.
