The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is set to open over 20 new accommodation units and camping sites in the following months.
The new developments include 10 riverfront units and 10 luxury campsites, each with its own ablution and kitchen facilities.
Two of the units at Urikaruus and Kieliekrankie are already complete, and open for visitors.
The expansion and renovation of two riverfront chalets at Mata Mata, plus a new shop and ablution block, were completed at the end of 2015 − already creating more accommodation in the region. Two more bird hides have also been erected at the Mata Mata and Nossob Rest Camps.
All the new developments and renovations should be completed by no later than February 2017.
