Fairhills Caravan Park and Camping Ground has grown in leaps and bounds since opening just over two years ago.

In the past couple of months, the resort has installed a library and a kids’ TV-and-entertainment room, as well as a new laundry facility with a coin-operated washing machine. Dry areas for changing have been installed in each of the main ablution’s ladies’ showers, the main ablution scullery has been upgraded, and there is a new scullery added to the small ablution block. The three other ablutions have been painted and improved. Furthermore, Fairhills has opened the “Burro Loco” Nature Trail.

The caravan park has commissioned their borehole, so campers will not be affected by water shortages. They have a 5000 water-storage facility at each ablution block, and are in the process of commissioning an additional 45 000l reservoir on the property.

The perimeter security fence has been completed, and there were no security incidents were reported during 2016.

For the coming year, they have again invited the guys from Pure Venom in Uvongo to give campers a snake awareness presentation, and they are arranging fire-dancing displays, juggling, face painting, puppet shows, nature trail walks, bonfire nights, and other activities for the kids and teenagers.

Fairhills is running an Easter special, in which a 10-day stay for a family of four will cost only R1 500; and a pensioner special from January to October of R1 600 per month for a couple.

The camp is also happy to announce that managers Flip and Tilla de Wet, who joined them in August 2016, have agreed to stay on until January 2018.
