I am amazed that over the years neither CI, Jurgens or any other new caravan or trailer manufacturer are not using more stainless steel material in construction. For example self-tapping  screws used for window attachments like slide holders, window fastening catchers, brackets fixing screws holding the roof lifters, door fittings etc are all mild steel and are only electroplated. Eventually moist, sea air and salt makes them rust and they need to be removed before they get so rusted up that it is not possible to remove at all. It WILL NOT cost more then R400 to uses stainless steel screws initially during construction, it does not make sense boasting about a galvanised chassis and having cheap stuff on top.
