Drie Berge Caravan Park now also has three swimming pools! Situated on a 100 hectare farm approximately 7 km north of Brits in the North West province, the name of the resort is derived from the three mountains that enclose the park which are the Ouberg, Wagposberg and Langberg Mountains.
Recently the resort was upgraded with two indoor heated swimming pools and a big outdoor cold swimming pool.
There is also a new dam which has been built alongside the swimming pools with a thatched lapa situated in the dam. Two wooden bridges take you across the dam to the lapa and the rowing boats can pass underneath the bridges during leisurely paddles.
Most of the camping sites are situated directly on the banks of the river, which provides ample space for fishing for Geelvis, Bass, Kurper, Barber and Carp that are common in the river. Fly fishing and normal fishing can be enjoyed.
Drie Berge is not visible from the main tar road that stretches from Brits to Dikholo, and offers tranquility, silence, dark nights with bright starlit skies.
The caravan stands are at least 700 metres away from the swimming pool area to ensure silence silence. All the stands have water, electricity and shade trees with two thirds fully shaded and partly shaded.
On your way from the stands to the swimming pool area there is a cycling activity track which is situated between massive Bluegum trees, and humps, bumps and bridges on the track provide enough excitement for the young and brave.
Drie Berge Caravan Park focuses on the family and there are many varied activities for young and old, including a trampoline, tennis court, swings, dartboard, table tennis, volley ball and rugby poles.
The shop stocks wood, ice, ice-cream, bottled water, cool drinks, sweets and other essentials.
