In less than a year since launching, Okto Caravans have released a second model in their range, and there’s already a waiting list for these locally-produced caravans.
Caravan & Outdoor Life have already given readers a sneak peek at their latest model, the 3-berth Cabana, and now we can share some more details.
The Cabana is smaller in length, width and height than the original Villa caravan, which is a four-sleeper. The Cabana also features a few design changes, such as the microwave which has been moved to the outside kitchen.
Woody Loftus from Loftus Caravan City, one of just two dealerships in the country selling Okto Caravans, says: “Almost everyone who saw the outside microwave of the Cabana said they want it in the Villa, so we are actually changing the design of the Villa to incorporate this.
“The Cabana has been well received in the market, and we already have almost as many orders for this smaller unit as for the Villa.”
Okto will also be releasing a gravel-road conversion of the Cabana in the near future.
Woody adds that they are constantly listening to the customers and staying in touch with the market, and Okto will be making a few very small improvements to their caravans, such as increasing the size of the bunk seat in the Cabana by a few centimetres.
Meanwhile, Caravan & Outdoor Life has learnt that Okto have plans for a third caravan on the drawing board. Set for release later this year, this on-road caravan will be built on a double axle and be bigger than Villa.
