Relax in a peaceful atmosphere between the mountains, alongside the Crocodile River where you can hear the cry of the Fish Eagle. Drie Berge Caravan Park, just seven kilometres from the popular town of Brits in the North West Province, is a paradise for camping, birding, hiking, fishing, mountain cycling and hiking.
The name of the caravan park comes from its location amid three mountains.
Access to Drie Berge is via a well-maintained gravel road (regularly scraped and smoothed), and at the entrance gate you need a security code to enter, as it is electrically controlled.
The caravan park has 47 spacious stands, all with 220V electricity, borehole water, and portable braais. Most of the campsites are grassed and shaded, while the rest are gravelled.
Drie Berge has neat, communal ablutions, as well as private family bathrooms, all with ample hot water, electric razor points, chemical toilet disposal, washing lines, and wash bays. Ablutions are regularly cleaned throughout the day.
Just a couple of minutes’ walk from the campsites is a recreation area with lots of shade, a swimming pool (heated when the weather’s chilly), a picnic area with tables and chairs, braai facilities, and an undercover veranda. At reception there is a small shop that
sells basic necessities such as wood, ice, cold drinks and sweets.
Drie Berge has plenty of activities and facilities to keep young and old active, including a swimming pool, tennis court, trampoline, table tennis, pool table, volleyball, swings, kids play area, rugby pole, and river fishing.
If you want to get active, the resort offers canoeing on the dam, as well as safe bicycle and hiking trails in the surrounding mountains.
