Access to this beautiful resort is off the N11 between Loskopdam and 32kms from Middleburg. There is a short 3km gravel road drive from the main gate to reception. The dust road conditions are excellent allowing easy passage to all types of non 4X4 vehicles and normal sedans.

Stop off at reception and the friendly staff will give you all the literature you need and a map of the resort before you make your way to the caravan park, mountain tents, log cabins or chalets that De Voetpadkloof has to offer. If you require the soothing waters of a large indoor heated pool, look no further than this wonderful resort.

Children will enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools and the whole family can get involved in a game of chess on the huge outdoor chess board next to the sparkling outdoor pool. There is a pool table, table tennis, putt-putt, mountain bike routes, game drives, kayaking on the large dam and the opportunity to go ziplining across the dam if you have the guts.

De Voetpadkloof certainly caters for the whole family, young and old. For those 4X4 enthusiasts, there is an offroad trail to test your vehicle’s mettle, just remember to hand in a copy of your driver’s licence and sign the indemnity at reception. The area is teeming with wildlife, birds and insects for those avid photographers. The game on the farm often grazes in close proximity to the road and catch and release fishing is offered at the dam bordering the main resort.

The campsite is set up on the mountainside overlooking the pools and the restaurant and bar, which has ample benches for guests to enjoy. There are en suite mountain and safari tents, as well as log cabins and chalets to suit absolutely every holiday need.

Koos, the CEO, will surely introduce himself as he is in and around the resort with regularity, ensuring that everything runs like clockwork. He might even join you for a cold beer and a chat at the bar. The ablution facilities are very modern and neat and there is a Laundromat to wash clothes.

The central lapa area has outdoor braais for those jovial summer evenings spent chatting to friends around the campfire. Grab another cold beer from the bar in the evening, you deserve it, or meander down in the morning for the incredible breakfast at the restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.

De Voetpadkloof is a haven for holidaymakers with no infiltration from the outside world. No noise, no pollution, no sirens, just tranquility … where time is your own.
