Running from 1st – 31st March 2014, the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) will be hosting a competition where consumers can stand a chance to win one of three trips to Namibia!
The online competition, hosted at http://win.namibiatourism.com.na, sees entrants choosing their own adventure from a choice of options available on a digital book in which the campaign lives. On completing their choices, they are automatically entered into the competition to win one of three holidays, which could include some of the choices they made.
The campaign’s content highlights how accessible Namibia is to the South African holidaymaker and how easy it is to travel as a self-drive option and explore the country according to their own interests. Based on Open Africa’s three routes, namely the Four Rivers Route, Arid Eden Route and Omulungu Route, consumers are given an idea of what to expect and how to go about travelling through the vast countryside to explore this hidden African gem.
“Open Africa, as a non-profit organisation, uses tourism to create and sustain jobs for local communities throughout southern Africa, including Namibia. The Namibia Tourism Board is keen to educate and give holidaymakers options for their Namibian experience which is why a campaign highlighting both the routes and the activities that can be enjoyed by visitors works well,” commented Liesel Wild of the NTB.
There are three prizes up for grabs, valued at R90 000 each! Two of the routes will be used for prizes and combined these 7-day adventures include activities such as visiting a Himba homestead; visiting the famous Raucana Falls boasting a 120m high waterfall; visiting the famous Twyfelfontein World Heritage site, Etosha National Park and the Epupa Falls.
The prizes each include the following:
Flights on Air Namibia from either Johannesburg or Cape Town;
Guided tours including breakfast, dinner and various activities
