The CCSA Boland Region is a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for caravanning and camping. It is the largest organization of its kind in the region, and it welcomes new members with open arms.
One of the CCSA’s most active regions is the Boland Region, which is dedicated to making caravanning a way of life. The Boland Region organizes rallies once a month, providing members with the opportunity to socialize with friends and build new friendships while exploring the beauty of the region.
The Caravan Club of Southern Africa was established in 1947. Boland Region is one of 6 regions representing the Western Cape. Boland is one of the
oldest regions within the Western Cape, originated from Cape Western, and was established on 29 August 1981. The first Boland rally was at Ceres over the weekend of 07th & 08th November 1981.
CCSA Boland Region’s Mission is to make caravanning a way of life. One rally per month ensures socializing with friends in a safe environment. No responsibilities other than to relax and enjoy nature are required from the members & guests. On a Sunday morning at 10:00 they get together to share positive thoughts where after they enjoy coffee or tea with a tasty treat, all contributed by the campers.
The friendships are seen as extended family. They don’t strive to be the biggest or the most active Region, but to rather be the group that cares for each other building strong relationships around the campfires.
In the past Boland’s members were a more senior and retired group of campers. Over the years this has changed with younger members joining, who all agree with the Boland region’s values. They take part in contributing to one charitable organisation per annum.
Caravanning has always been a popular way to escape the stresses of everyday life, and with the CCSA Boland Region, it has become even more enjoyable. With the comfort of your own home on wheels, you can travel the country and experience new places without the hassle of booking hotels and dealing with the chaos that comes with it.
The CCSA recognizes that caravanning is a family activity, and as such, many campsites now cater to families. They provide activities for children and give parents the chance to unwind and relax without constantly having to remind their kids to be quiet or refrain from running in the halls.
Whether you’re a seasoned caravanner or new to the game, the CCSA Boland Region is the perfect place to meet like-minded people, make new friends, and explore the beauty of Southern Africa.

Recently, the CCSA Boland Region had a four day weekend to look forward to with 22 caravans with 3 guests at the beautiful Onrus Caravan Park!
The traffic on a long weekend, of course, is always something that Friday and Tuesday travellers have to contend with but the arrival at the caravan park to set up with the knowledge that there is no packing up on Sunday makes the traffic seem insignificant.
On the Saturday morning the club woke up to rain which eventually cleared to a beautiful day and the children took to the sea for a refreshing swim. Sunday morning Chairmans is always something to look forward to where Andre Kroucamp walked away with a lovely big bag of rusks, Marie Enslin won the prize sponsored by AXL Outdoor and their new guests daughter who did the draw for first place managed to draw her own lucky number for the prize donated by their members Franklin and Carol Fortuin.
Monday was a windy day with gusts and gales so most campers took some time for some well deserved rest and relaxation and alas, it was time to pack up for an early departure on Tuesday morning
