Sprite’s presence at the 2025 Caravan Show reaffirmed the brand’s longstanding role in South African caravanning – offering value-driven models that don’t compromise on quality. With two updated units on display, the Spiral and the Spiral Tourer, Sprite has introduced smart improvements that refine both structure and usability, while keeping their caravans affordable and accessible for a wide market.
The Sprite Spiral has undergone several upgrades, beginning with the new clip-down roof mechanism. This redesign simplifies the setup and takedown process while improving the roof’s seal and structural fit.
Another change sees the toilet cassette relocated, offering a more practical position for use and servicing. A new cupboard has been added near the door, increasing internal storage and making better use of previously underutilised space. Insect nets are now fitted to the windows as standard, improving airflow without compromising comfort.
The Spiral comes standard with both the main tent and the first roof, giving new owners a ready-to-go camping setup. Notably, a stove is no longer included as standard, but can be selected as an optional extra depending on the buyer’s preference. These changes align with Sprite’s broader strategy to offer functional base models with modular upgrade paths, keeping upfront pricing competitive.
Alongside the Spiral was the Sprite Spiral Tourer, widely considered the flagship of the range when it comes to gravel-road performance and practicality. Already known for its affordability, the Tourer’s 2025 update adds a series of structural and comfort-focused upgrades. Shock absorbers have been improved, enhancing stability and towing comfort across unpaved routes. The fridge has been upgraded to a 12/220 V unit, increasing flexibility for both off-grid and powered sites.
Protection has also been enhanced with new roll bars and a rock guard, shielding the caravan from damage when travelling on rougher terrain. Comfort hasn’t been overlooked either – the air conditioning option now includes a split-unit system, with the internal section located centrally inside the van and the external component mounted on the offside panel for efficient cooling without occupying valuable storage space.
Across both models, Sprite continues its push for almost entirely wood-free construction, reducing the risks of water damage and rot. Interior cabinetry has been upgraded with cleaner finishes, hidden fasteners, and inset hinges, ensuring better long-term durability and a sleeker look.
