Motorhome-World unveiled its latest off-road contender at the 2025 Caravan Show – the Journey Offroad, a heavy-duty evolution of their well-known Journey range. Built on an IVECO panel van platform, this new model fills the space between the familiar Sprinter-based builds and the company’s ultra-rugged Xtreme series.
The foundation is serious: a 7-tonne chassis paired with permanent four-wheel drive and differential locks on the front, centre and rear axles. It’s designed to be driven confidently into remote and demanding environments. With a wading depth of 700 mm – 200 mm more than the AWD Sprinter – and a length of 7.18 m, the Journey Offroad is physically larger and more capable than anything Motorhome-World has previously offered in this class.
Externally, the unit is equipped for full off-grid living. The nose includes a built-in 15 000 lb winch, and the flanks feature a utility plate with spade and traction boards, hot and cold outdoor shower access, exterior power points, and space for dual spare wheels. A Fiamma awning is mounted to the roof for shaded living space. An integrated ladder offers roof access, and the body has been reshaped with a tougher, more aggressive stance to match its all-terrain profile.
Inside, the Journey Offroad maintains the flexibility of the standard Journey range while adding the upgrades expected from a go-anywhere unit. Two benches span the rear cabin, designed to function either as daybeds or as part of a larger bed conversion. The central aisle leaves room for large items such as bicycles or cargo – a feature aimed at overlanders and adventure sports travellers.
Interior fittings include swivel driver and passenger seats, a folding table, full cabinetry, and a narrow-profile fridge/freezer ideal for compact layouts. The kitchen area offers additional prep surfaces and deep drawers, while the rear houses a full bathroom with a shower, basin, toilet, and ample storage, including a hanging cupboard and drawers.
Behind the scenes, the electrical system is based on lithium batteries with an inverter for 220 V access. A Victron solar charge controller and panel can be fitted as optional extras, along with additions like a snorkel, reverse camera, and National Luna freezer.
With the Journey Offroad, Motorhome-World has delivered a panel van conversion that doesn’t flinch in the face of rough travel. It balances comfort with serious off-road performance, offering a premium, go-anywhere option for travellers who want to go further without leaving convenience behind.
