Conqueror’s new X Range made a commanding appearance at the 2025 Caravan Show, delivering major updates across three of its most recognisable names – the Commander X, Companion X, and the new-look UEV-17X.

Each model represents more than a facelift – these are comprehensive redesigns that enhance the functionality and liveability of an already tough-as-nails off-road platform.

The Commander X, evolved from the award-winning original, retains its distinct folding hard-shell bed but introduces a redesigned semi-internal bathroom that now folds out off the floor – adding comfort without compromising footprint. Inside, you’ll find a raised roofline that opens up usable volume and new touches like a built-in coffee station and enhanced bed access, courtesy of Conqueror’s patented fold-up sleeping system.

The Companion X sees one of the most dramatic reworks. The front beam has been removed, effectively doubling the internal headroom and making the unit feel more spacious than ever. The integrated indoor shower and toilet area now sits neatly opposite expanded packing zones. The changes create a compact layout that feels anything but cramped.

Arguably the most significant transformation, however, comes in the form of the UEV-17X – a dedicated two-sleeper that now includes a full interior bathroom setup. The front fold-out bed has been removed to make way for extra interior storage and a generous hanging cupboard, while the fold-out bed on the right remains (now 1.93 m long and 1.29 m wide – slightly shorter but wider than before). At the rear, the bathroom has been completely reimagined. A walk-in layout separates the toilet and basin from the enclosed shower cubicle – a configuration inspired by Conqueror’s flagship UEV-25.

Other refinements on the 17X include a new exterior cupboard above the kitchen, a relocated bathroom window, and an extended body that now measures 345 mm longer than the standard 17. The model sits 40 mm lower but retains its 1 800 kg GVM and 1 450 kg tare. While the original UEV-17 ran dual shocks per wheel, the X swaps this out for a simplified system with one shock per side – though air suspension remains available as an upgrade.

Across the board, the X Range has been equipped with Conqueror’s latest Victron 30A power system, dual 102 Ah batteries, a gas-electric geyser with full plumbing, a 270° swing-out awning, and integrated coffee stations. Interiors are now fitted with aluminium-framed cupboards, a move away from wood that improves dust resistance and reduces long-term wear. The patented bed system allows the hard shell to open in under a minute, with panoramic double-glazed windows offering exceptional airflow and views from the comfort of your mattress.

These updates show Conqueror isn’t simply chasing trends – they’re responding directly to customer needs while reinforcing what has made them an off-road favourite for years: durability, comfort, and clever engineering wrapped in unmistakable bush cred.
