Badger’s X-Over sits comfortably between the Lite and Extreme, and this year it’s gained several high-end features from its flagship sibling.
Most notably, the rear now houses a drop-down aluminium shower floor with a solid roof and tent enclosure. It folds down with gas struts and rests on the spare wheel, which has been shifted from the A-frame to the back.
The chassis is now aluminium, shaving off weight and improving towing efficiency. At a tare of just 950 kg and a GVM of 1 250 kg, the X-Over offers 300 kg of packing capacity and can be set up by one person in just 12 minutes. The patented fold-out side panel creates a generous open living space, while the fold-out bed (1.9 m x 1.9 m) allows for two configurations: day mode for more interior room or fully extended for sleep mode.
The kitchen features a two-plate gas stove, slide-out pantry with fridge space, and a wash-up station that uses the gas geyser. Inside, there’s a pop-up canvas roof, Trail King water pump, Snomaster 56 ℓ fridge/freezer, Hansen gas-electric geyser, and a Victron charger. A 100 Ah lithium battery comes standard, with a 200 Ah upgrade available. Other extras include an underbench aircon, solar panel, MPPT charger, TV, Ewiks caravan movers, and independent suspension.
