Sand Forest Lodge is situated on a nature reserve on the edge of an ancient sand forest and lies to the west of False Bay Park – part of the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park. The Lodge is just 10 minutes from the village of Hluhluwe and 20 minutes from the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve.
Accommodation comprises a number of comfortable one and two bedroomed cottages, tastefully decorated in Afro-colonial style. The en-suite bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning, mosquito nets, ceiling fans and are serviced daily. In addition, each cottage has a kitchenette with a fridge and private verandah with braai facilities.
The region has a vast diversity of natural and cultural resources that are all within easy access of the Lodge. Visualise an open vehicle game drive among the Big Five in the oldest Park in Africa, walk the fossil lined shores, canoe or horse ride through the open water systems and coastal sand forest of a world heritage site.
