Information & Gallery

Tree-covered koppies, ridges and grassy plains provide an attractive backdrop to the Rustfontein Dam, on the Modder River, that is a popular choice of watersport enthusiasts. Black wildebeest, blesbok, springbok and Burchell’s zebra frequent the plains where blue korhaan, secretary birds and longtailed widow birds are seen. Egyptian geese are usually present in large numbers on the dam. Yellowfish, mudfish, barbel and carp are popular angling species.
