On Tuesday evening, 16 August 2022, Bushwakka Adventure Trailers unveiled what they have been busy with for the last year or two and officially launched their marvelous Kamelback Conversion Camper. Their launch allowed guests a proper tour and introduction of the camper, that was built for not only for comfort, but also for a stress free adventure into the wild.
The name Kamelback was named after the tough, travel strong Camel. It comes from Arabia where in their language Camel spelt with a ‘K’ means “the perfect one”.
This new camper is perfect for those who are wanting to down scale from caravanning, but love camping in nature. It enables customers to go further off-road without needing to worry about the wheels of the caravan / trailer getting stuck. Bushwakka took the time period during COVID-19 to brainstorm a new concept and idea to wow their clientele and with that, the Kamelback Conversion was born.

In an interview with their launch promotion ‘Bushwakka explained that “Experience is knowledge, knowledge is improvement, improvement is what sets them apart from the rest.”

Bushwakka used the concept of their Bushwakka Sundowner for the design of the Kamelback, however, the manufacturer has made a few changes such as mounting points and more to customise it to fit perfectly to the chassis with rubber padding on a single cab Landcruiser 70 series 4×4. Air suspension was added to the leaf springs of the vehicle. Bushwakka said a lot effort went into the newcomer and one always needs to have the correct amount of team work to make the dream work.

From their design team, to fabrications, assembling and more, all played a big role in the successful launch of the Kamelback. On the outside, the camper just looks like a simple aluminium box, but once opened up, customers are spoilt with an awning, a shower cubicle, pop up tent, storage units, a kitchen area, and so much more! Cutlery, utensils, pots or pans, everything you possibly need all comes standard with the Kamelback.

The Kamelback’s interior offers customers a stress free camping adventure as it enables customers enough walk-in and head room, cupboards, a comfortable queen sized bed, canvas windows and pockets, making it the ideal camper on wheels. The amazing thing about this camper is that its manufactured out of high grade aluminium, which means it wont rust, and is extremely lightweight.
