Bush Bliss

It’s great to see an up-and-coming new caravan resort in the Bela-Bela area. On my recent visit, I was impressed to see just how this venue has developed since I saw it being built a year ago. I met the new owners, Corrie and Brian Williams, who took over the resort in March.

Resort Review, Waterberg Resort, Limpopo Province.

This is a new challenge for them, different from their previous business which tied them up 24 hours a day, and they’re thoroughly enjoying the change.

The resort has 14 grassed shady sites, each with its own bathroom and kitchenette, and 18 bush sites which share one main ablution block and two family ablutions. These sites are electrified and have a water tap and braai nearby. There are also four permanent tents, each on a wooden deck, which share an ablution block and communal kitchen.

There is a very nice play area for the children, plus a games room and two swimming pools which can be heated on colder days; the entertainment deck has a big-screen TV, bar facilities, a restaurant and shop. The scullery has a washing machine and tumble dryer and washing lines. The entire resort is secure, boasting a perimeter electric fence.
