Bontebok National Park is situated 6 km from the picturesque and historic town of Swellendam, 240 km from Cape Town and 540 km from Port Elizabeth. The Park is the smallest of South Africa’s 22 National Parks, but by no means the least diverse, and is beautifully located at the foot of the majestic Langeberg Mountains and bordered by the winding Breede River. The turnoff to the Park’s entrance is conveniently located directly off the N2 highway.The Park is home to over 200 Bontebok and many other animals, such as Red Hartebees, Grey Rhebok and over 200 bird species.

Nearby Swellendam offers a rich array of activities, from hiking in the Marloth Nature Reserve to cheese tasting, lavender picking and horse riding. Feeling adventurous? Try the 200 m zip-line (foefie-slide) at Buffeljachts Dam.
