Badger Caravans is officially up and running from their Durban premises. Though Badger Caravans was hard hit by the unrest in the KZN area and the upheaval caused by the Covid lockdowns, they are now back in full production. They officially they launched their caravan range at the Caravan Show at Gallagher estate in Gauteng in 2020, and it is a welcome addition to the light pop-up caravan range in South Africa.
Badger has taken their caravan design to new levels with an improved version of the slide-out concept. Also featured is a new age clip and fold design which unfolds giving you and your partner enough headroom and makes a welcome addition of space utilisation.
Badger is the new kid on the block and they are making a statement with their unique compact off-road caravans. Built tough for all terrain types and extremely good looking, there is a Badger for every adventurer out there. They are extremely light to tow, have a large amount of open living space and boast a quick and easy single person setup time.
All outdoor adventurers know that a quick set up time is imperative. The patented fold-outside panel is what sets the Badger brand apart from any other product. It allows for the convenience of compact towing combined with the luxury and comfort of a full size caravan.
The patented fold-out bed and pop-up canvas ensures for plenty of space when camping. The bed can be set up in 2 different positions: the Day Bed (not fully extended) in order to create more space to move around the interior, and the Sleep Bed which is fully extended.

The Extreme and X-Over models enjoy kitchens which come standard with a 2 plate gas cooker as well as plenty of space for a microwave, kettle, toaster and cutlery. The standard slide-out pantry boasts space for a fridge/freezer and well as extra storage. There is also an option for a washing up station, which uses hot water from the gas heater via the shower head. The water is drawn from the water tank.

The Badger X-Over caravan is more robust with a larger rated axle and 15 inch wheels, making it perfect for gravel roads. It has all the features of the Badger Lite with the addition of a 15 litre geyser giving one access to hot water at the pull out kitchen.

In May of this year Badger delivered the first of their caravans fitted with the Enduro Outback independent suspension by AL-KO who are the world leaders in caravan chassis and component technology. A key feature of the product is the integration of premium AL-KO shock absorbers. Other features include: Australian made 4×4 coil springs, maintenance free bushes and integrated tow and camber adjustment.
