ATKV Buffelspoort – Rustenburg, Magaliesberg, North-West

The Magaliesberg are among the oldest mountains in the world, almost 100 times older than Everest. They stretch for 120km from Bronkhorstspruit Dam east of Pretoria to Rustenburg in the west and separate the highveld grasslands to the south from the bushveld savannah in the north.

Every site has a power point and braai facilities.

The neat ablutions are always kept clean, and there are excellent washing up facilities.

Spend your days at ATKV Buffelspoort by enjoying some swimming, adventure putt-putt, golf, volleyball, squash, tennis, and bird watching.

If you need some extra relaxation, head to the heated indoor pool and jacuzzis.

For children, there’s a holiday programme, trampolines, and a supertube.

Situated less than an hour from both Pretoria and Johannesburg, and close to the world-renowned Sun City, ATKV buffelspoort is the ideal base from where you can explore the wealth of tourist attractions in the area.

Golfers can choose from a variety of courses nearby – Rustenburg, Mooinooi, Sun City, Magalies Park and Hunters Rest.

Watersport enthusiasts should head to Buffelspoort dam for fishing, boating and waterskiing.

The area also offers balloon safaris, elephant rides, horse riding, canopy tours, the lion park, and of course Sun City close by.

Caravan Park A

The camp has 78 camping stands, and two ablution facilities (one in Block 1 and the other in Block 2). Block 2 has no baths, only showers, as well as a separate bathroom for paraplegics.
Close to Block 1 there is a porta-potty washing facility.
Both ablution blocks have washing-up facilities.
There is a wooden jungle gym for children to play on near Block 2.

Caravan Park B

The camp has 68 stands and one ablution facility with baths and showers, as well as a porta-potty washing facility.
The ablutions have washing-up facilities.
There is a wooden jungle gym for children.

Caravan Park C

The camp has 30 stands and one ablution area with baths and showers. There is also a dishwashing area.
The area also a climbing frame for the children for entertainment.

Caravan Park D

The camp has 30 stands that are all covered with shade nets. The camp has one ablution facility with baths and showers.
There are washing-up facilities with a jungle gym for the children.
This area also has a few caravans available for rental.
