Almega Caravan Park is situated just a short drive north of Pretoria, next to the Rust de Winter Road, and close to Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve.

The owners of Almega Caravan Park are outdoor enthusiasts themselves, so they built a resort for campers, by campers.
Almega has large grass-covered camping sites with shade from big trees.
Each campsite has electricity and its own braai facility, plus private ablutions that always has hot water. the private ablutions have a shower, toilet, double washbasin for washing up hairdryer plug, and even a make-up area with a mirror.
Make sure you bring your hiking shoes and bicycle so you can explore the many routes on the 200-hectare farm.
The area is full of wildlife, including over 250 identified bird species.
Shared facilities at Almega include a swimming pool in the shape of a guitar, juksei, jungle gym, swings and sandpit for the kids. There is also a brick fire and braai area for groups.

Follow the N1 from Preroia in the direction of Polokwane.
About 35 km north of Pretoria, take the Hammanskraal / Boekenhoutskloof turn-off.
Go through the toll gate and turn right over the N1.
After 50 meters, turn left onto the Rust De Winter Road.
Follow the road through the Dinokeng reserve gate for about 10 km.
Go past the Safari shopping centre on the left and then over the grid and past the De Wagendrift gravel road.
About 1,2km further you turn right at Almega Caravan Park’s gate.
Everything is tarred road up to the gate… if you are driving on gravel, you took a wrong turn.
