Naledi brought a refined version of its popular teardrop camper to the 2025 Caravan Show, continuing its mission to deliver compact, self-contained camping with a surprising level of comfort and spec. While the silhouette remains instantly recognisable, this year’s model arrives with a handful of smart improvements aimed at functionality, durability, and all-round ease of use.
The most visible change is the increase in ground clearance – up from 350 mm to a more trail-ready 420 mm – boosting the unit’s off-road confidence without compromising its compact towability. The standard fitment of two 2 x 2 metre awnings remains unchanged, offering versatile shaded areas on both sides of the camper.
Structurally, the Naledi is built from a mix of aluminium and aluminium-composite panels, designed to be both lightweight and strong. Privacy and ventilation have been improved with the addition of a second door and upgraded window glass. The 4 mm safety glass now has better insulation properties, and the updated dust sealing ensures a tighter seal when travelling on gravel or in harsh weather.
Inside the cabin, several new interior cupboards have been fitted, increasing storage space without cluttering the minimalist layout. A rotating roof fan remains standard, offering reversible airflow to manage interior temperature.
Despite its small footprint, the Naledi comes impressively well-equipped out of the box. The power system includes a 100 Ah lithium battery, 100 W solar panel with regulator, and a Victron charger. Lighting and connectivity are handled by a mix of 220 V plugs and USB points.
The rear kitchen is one of the standout features. Built into the back of the unit and accessed via the lift-up hatch, it includes a solid wood countertop with a built-in sink and tap, a microwave oven, induction plate, single-burner gas stove, and an electric kettle. All essential cookware and crockery for four are included, along with pots and pans. A 50 ℓ National Luna fridge-freezer is mounted in the stainless steel nose box, and a 50 ℓ water tank rounds out the setup.
Despite the additional upgrades, the overall layout and function of the Naledi remain consistent with its original design philosophy – a stylish, self-contained camper that punches well above its weight in both comfort and practicality. With more robust construction, smarter storage, and an off-grid-ready electrical system, the latest Naledi continues to appeal to adventurers who want simplicity without compromise.
