Fair weather campers ! Shame on you. Never heard of Oubies , knee rugs and a good blanket on the bed ??
Did a quick tour Saturday to test something on my tow vehicle , 3 vans at the Kloof [ 24 〫at midday ] and only 2 at Eastco [23 〫 at 2pm]. That's in the middle of winter ! I'll be looking out for you ninnies in 2 weeks time at Eastco , you better dust off the beanies. Cheers, Duncan

Hi Duncan, I fully agree, my opinion is that winter is the best time to go camping - well in the eastern cape at least. In the summer we are so windswept ( EL and PE ) and as you say the days are lovely in the winter, one sleeps so well during those chilly evenings and it's also a good reason to cuddle our women - i mean we have to keep warm not so ? We don't have much rain in winter either. There's also nothing better than sitting around a bonfire dressed in gloves, beanies and jackets, with a steaming cup of strong coffee and good company. The list goes on and on but you already know all about that, anyway nice chatting. Go well, regards Cowen.

For those who are interested, Free Wheelers Hub are getting together at Aasvoelkrans ( Between Magaliesberg & Rustenburg S25 51 24.1 E27 18 57.5) for the long week-end in Aug 6-9th.
