Tribute to billibo

Many of you know billibo (Bill de Waal) as the moderator on this Forum. Earlier, this week, we received sad news that he passed away unexpectedly in a local Pretoria hospital on Friday 22 August. Bill will be dearly missed for his great sense of humour and, in particular, for the many hours of personal time he dedicated to this Forum. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family, his friends and to all who knew him.

Bill’s duties on the forum will be taken over by a member of our staff.

Shocking news. I worked with Bill on the SA4x4 Forum, and he was always a willing person. He will be missed.

What awful news! I never had any direct dealings with Bill, but his posts and contributions were always informative. Deepest condolences to family and friends :cry:

I've not been active on the forum, so this is the first I've heard an sorry to hear Billibo passed on

He was a great help to me and I enjoyed his sense of goodwill & humor

He truly was an OFFICER & A GENTLEMAN
